Shades of Balance at Movement Global

Posted by Amrita Sondhi on

We love how each season of life holds a magnetic colour.  We think of orange and red in the fall, black and magenta in the winter, greens and blues in the spring with violet and white in the summer.  At Movement Global, our shades while inspired by seasons, carry a deeper meaning:  they embody the foundational principals of our clothes.  Our colours embrace the healing energies of the dosha.

Dosha is an Ayurvedic term derived from the five elements: Earth, Wind, Fire, Water and Air.  Known as mind-body types, the doshas express patterns of energy, with unique blends of physical, emotional and mental characteristics.

We are all born with three doshas:  Vata (Air), Pitta (Fire) and Kapha (Earth) and most of us will have a stronger primary than our secondary or third less prominent dosha.  Through Ayurveda (the oldest system of healing originating in India more than 5000 years ago) we can bring all three doshas into balance.  When we feel off centre, we can look for ways to decrease our primary dosha and bring more harmony to our mind, body and spirit.

Movement Global’s palette embraces the healing hues of the dosha and over the next few weeks we’ll share insights with you about the colours of Movement Global and the healing properties of our fashion.
